In the main DC comics Cyborg had another love interest named Sarah but named Sarah Charles who came after Sarah Simms.In " Cyborg's Story" it is implied that Sarah might be her reincarnation.It is unknown if she has any connection to Sarah Simms though. In the episode " Cyborg the Barbarian", Cyborg falls in love and kisses a woman from the past named Sarasim (whose name and that of Sarah's sound similar).But soon, they developed a close relationship. In the cartoon’s spin-off comics at first, the two were rivals due to them both wanting to be the Titans' technician.She was a teacher who worked for disabled children and Cyborg felt comfort among her and the children as he could relate due to being disabled himself. She was a main love interest of Cyborg in the original DC comics as well. In the DC Comics, Sarah Simms made her debut in The New Teen Titans #8 (June 1981)."
